Crews Begin Work at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral

A new chapter in the ongoing enhancement of the Cathedral is underway as crews have begun carefully removing the existing altar at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral. This important phase marks the first step in a project that will preserve and repurpose the altar's beautiful marble for a new liturgical purpose.

Rather than allowing the marble to go unused, the stone is being meticulously salvaged and prepared for incorporation into a new tabernacle stand. Each piece is being carefully dismantled, lifted, and transported to ensure the integrity of the material is maintained throughout the process. The marble, which has served as part of the Cathedral's sanctuary for many years, will continue its sacred role in a new form at the heart of the church's worship space.
