St. Denis Church
2401 St Denis Ln, Havertown, PA 19083
St. Denis Church in Havertown has long been a place where beauty and reverence meet. Recently, the parish completed a stunning liturgical arts renovation that brings a profound new visual focus to the church’s sacred space—an extraordinary white marble sculpture now installed on the face of the choir loft.
Spanning 32 feet in width and weighing over 10,000 pounds, the sculpture is composed of five intricately carved segments of pristine Carrara marble. Each segment was carefully designed and crafted to echo the theological and architectural traditions of the Church, while offering a fresh visual expression that speaks to the present-day faith community.
This renovation not only enhances the aesthetic experience for parishioners and visitors—it deepens the spiritual resonance of the church interior. The new marble sculpture invites contemplation, evokes a sense of sacred grandeur, and stands as a lasting testament to the vibrancy of liturgical arts in the life of the Church.
As St. Denis continues to serve as a spiritual home for generations, this powerful new addition will inspire faith, beauty, and awe for years to come.
