St. James the Greater Catholic Church

49 Crosswinds Dr, Charles Town, WV 25414

This unique art commission consists of the complete supply of 88 framed wall-hanging Venetian glass and 24-carat gold portrait-level glass mosaics. Rugo Stone mosaic artisans created 30 of the 88 mosaics, which included a custom wood pointed arch frame, painted gold to compliment the gold mosaic.

Each one of the 88 panels is different and represents a saint selected by various parishioners of this particular parish, and the saint chosen has a special meaning to each donor. The mosaics are all hand-cut with outstanding detail, mounted on lightweight board, and installed with a grout-less face to allow the glass mosaic colors to display their brilliance. The panels are wall-mounted and displayed in the Nave of the church on the side walls.
