Queen of Heaven Columbarium

At the Basilica of Saint Mary, St. Jude Liturgical Arts was entrusted with enhancing the beauty and functionality of the shrine dedicated to Our Lord. As part of this sacred renewal, two custom-designed cabinets were created and installed to respectfully house and display the relics of the saints.

Each cabinet was crafted to complement the historic architecture and ornate detailing of the shrine. Featuring arched frames and deep red backgrounds, the new enclosures provide a dignified and reverent setting for the relics while harmonizing seamlessly with the surrounding décor.

The result is a space that invites deeper devotion and reflection—one that honors the saints and enriches the prayer experience for all who visit this treasured chapel.

Previously, the church had been given Basilica Status by the Vatican, which meant it was in need of a tintinnabulum (a bell) and ombrellino, a gold and red umbrella demonstrating the basilica’s connection to the Holy See. We crafted and designed this beautiful piece to categorize its magnificence. We were also contacted to install a marble communion rail. Through the pictures, you can see that the perfect craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident during each phase of installation. We repurposed this marble railing from a nearby church. SJLA carefully removed piece by piece and reinstalled in the new home of this wonderful Basilica … an excellent compliment.
